Tuscany--is there any other region in the
world whose name conjures up such powerful images and emotions?
For those who have never had the pleasure of a Tuscan sojourn, the simple
idea of it is exhilarating; for those who have, the slightest reminder
sends a flood of passionate memories rushing to the head. In other words,
it is a place that is as mythical in reality as in imagination. Traversing
the landscapes, homes, and interiors of the region, this book captures
the essence of Tuscany in all its old world magnificence.
